Open auditions for Nuts will be held at the Ridgefield Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, CT on:
Sunday, March 18th & Monday, March 19th from 7-10 pm.
Rehearsals to be scheduled by the director.
Performances: Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm from June 1st through June 23rd, 2012 with Sunday matinees June 10th and June 17th at 5 pm. Additional performances may be scheduled.
Synopsis:
Set in a courtroom in New York's Bellevue Hospital, the story follows a high-priced call girl incarcerated on a charge for killing a violent "john". A court appointed psychiatrist and an aggressive prosecutor say Claudia Faith Draper is unfit to stand trial for manslaughter. As testimony from experts, physicians and her parents unfolds, Claudia's psyche and childhood are dissected, and she must prove that she isn't "nuts," but legally sane to stand trial.
